Why VIS?

Thanks to TIPS

"We have moved from Nigeria 2 years back. Getting our children enrolled in a good International school was our biggest concern and challenge. After lot of reasearch and references from friends and family, we decided to get our children enrolled in TIPS. We are truly happy and contented that, TIPS was a great choice for our children. Transition was very smoother in terms of academics, culture, conducive environment and facilities. Children feel very secured and at HOME. Thanks to TIPS :)"

Why Valley International School?

VIS has an engaging curriculum carefully designed to form a continuum from early childhood to high school as a pathway to successful community education.

Academic Excellence:

Academically excellent learning environment is one signified by engaged learning and deep reflection. We provide a uniquely global education that goes beyond grades to develop all-round academic excellence – equipping young people with the confidence and resourcefulness that prepares them to grow, thrive and find their success in a fast-changing world.
At VIS excellence means:

  • achieving the highest, exemplary level of performance;
  • exceeding normal expectations of performance and meeting high expectations; and
  • setting a standard to be followed.

Numerous strategies are employed by VIS to ensure that we create an environment where the maximum potential of each child is encouraged and supported. Producing stars has been our forte with over a 500+ A*, 700+ A in IGCSE and several 40+ points in IBDP and still going. Our students have bagged World Topper Awards in various subjects. While these results are extremely pleasing, ultimately, we believe in empowering the quality of character and leadership that springs from the quality of one’s heart – our values, virtues, priorities and hopes.
A quest for excellence in learning – both in the classroom and out – always remain at the heart of our educational mission and practice.

Multi-Dimensional Extensive Resource:

VIS is a bridge that encourages children to make a connection with the subject using their creativity. We ensure a holistic approach to the child’s needs. Our curriculum delivery is assisted by an extensive resource centre catering to the individual needs of every child. Teams of students work collaboratively using multiple unit resources to gain a deeper understanding of standards-based core unit concepts, then put that understanding into practice as they complete their project.

  • Multilevel books that seamlessly integrate science and reading.
    • Supplement instruction with hundreds of supporting texts, activity sheets, and lesson extensions that expand student understanding.
    • Improve the home-to-school connection with engaging multilevel eBooks students can access anytime, anywhere.
  • Thousands of resources to teach core science ideas and practices including customizable lessons and informational texts in four scientific domains.
    • Life Science Resources teach students about the living world around them and how organisms interact with one another.
    • Earth and Space Science Resources teach students about features, materials, and processes on Earth and in outer space.
    • Physical Science Resources teach students about the nature and properties of energy, forces, and matter.
    • Process Science Resources teach students about the skills and tools necessary to conduct investigations and find answers.

Alternative learning resources in the form of videos, illustrations, models, real life examples, websites and many others help every child engage effectively in the class room and beyond.

Hands on Minds on Experiences:

As Dr. Herb’s had rightly said “Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I may remember, but involve me and I’ll understand” is what we strive in our classroom.

DuChildren learn and comprehend based on various learning techniques. The hands on educational activities in our campus cater to the various learning groups suited to the various teaching and learning methodologies. The curriculum at every age level is intertwined with hands on experiments, labs and other connected experiences like the use of robotics, project based learning activities, home & class projects and many more.

  • Put science into practice with high-interest science activities and projects that foster curiosity and investigation.
  • Hands-on experiments and projects to apply science concepts.
  • Put science into practice with engaging experiments and activities that use everyday items to expand on concepts.
  • Promote collaboration and inquiry-based learning with open-ended challenges that require students to apply STEM practices.
  • Encourage creativity and innovation with the resources necessary to participate in science fairs.
  • Mathematicians are problem solvers first. When children can’t find the meaning in numbers and symbols, problem solving is a struggle. Through hands-on learning, visualization, and pictorial representations, their understanding, confidence, and love of math grows.
  • Project-based learning (PBL) is an instructional framework that develops key 21st century skills as students work in groups to answer a Driving Question and complete a project. The PBL model encourages critical thinking, creativity, innovation, inquiry, collaboration, and communication. Students investigate real-world science questions and solve authentic engineering design challenges. Science-based PBL integrates science, technology, engineering, math, language arts, and other content areas.

Balanced Inclusive Education:

Learning is from all spheres. We at VIS provide a balance at every stage of their academic journey: believe in stimulating the young mind’s. The performing arts are creative keys that can unlock a child’s imagination and significantly transform their education.

Music in particular, can play a transformational role in child’s education, promoting cultural literacy and key skills such as creativity, critical thinking and collaboration.
Fear of failure is often an obstacle for creativity. We work hard to create a learning environment where students understand that failure is a part of their learning journey. Not that failure is celebrated, but rather that it is recognised as an important step towards success. At VIS we work very hard on this school-wide, not just in our individual phases or subject.
There are many research findings which highlight that children dabbling with both sports and academics are better focused, as discipline, concentration, and time-management learned through sports come handy.
Athletics and sports are one part of our comprehensive program to educate the whole child in mind, body and spirit.

At VIS we truly do adhere to the ancient motto “mens sana in corpore sano” – a healthy mind in a healthy body.
