Hello,

It’s a pleasure to introduce myself . I am Arunima, the coordinator for VIS’s KL Campus.

An Indian citizen who has been living in & working in KL for the past eight years, I am a University rank holder MA (Political Science) & a B. Ed from the prestigious Calcutta University. During the past eight years, I have held teaching & academic leadership positions at two other prominent International Schools in KL.

Teaching, for me, isn’t simply a profession, but also a calling in life as I find deep meaning in helping mould future generations, besides the fact that it provides me a day job to be with children whom I adore.

On the personal front, my husband works as an Asia Pacific Leader for a Fortune 50 Organization. We have a daughter who just finished her graduation from Sunway University & is currently preparing to go to UK for her Masters.

 Best Regards,

Arunima

Hello,

I am glad to introduce myself. I am Jonathan, the Mathematics and homeroom teacher for VIS’s KL Campus.

There are two things that I love doing. Firstly, I love teaching. Secondly, I love helping people. It has been my joy to see my students learning and be educated. My students ask me questions when they do not understand and I will be glad to teach them. No question is too trivial. I am patient to answer till they voice out, “Ohhh…, now I understand!”

I have worked in 2 schools and in a Singapore Maths Motivational Centre. I have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. In addition, I can teach the National syllabus and also Cambridge/ IGCSE Curriculum.

I simplify my teachings and I specifically question and guide students on their weaknesses. I have a heart for the students and my passion for teaching will continue on.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Teacher Jonathan

Hello,

Appreciating this moment for an introduction. I am Praveena, the English and Global Perspectives teacher for VIS’s KL Campus.

Just an ordinary girl who came from a small town. A very friendly, mischievous, nurturing and funny person, maybe that is why I am called ‘ the naughty one ‘.

Teaching has always been my favourite. Never even once thought I would be one. My mum is my big time inspiration. A great mother, teacher , doctor and so on. Someone who trusted in me more than myself. Teaching from syllabus doesn’t make you a great teacher but being a friend who understands a student’s feelings, respecting and accepting from their perspectives will do so.

I have worked as a behavioral therapist previously with Atypical students which made me love my job even more now. Nothing stops me from pursuing my passion.

Thank you,

Teacher Praveena

Hello,

It’s a pleasure to introduce myself . I am Thilagah, the Art and Craft teacher for VIS’s KL Campus.

A person who is interested in expressing my emotions and thoughts through lineworks and colours. I’m from Johor and currently living & working in KL for the past two years. I am a dean’s list degree holder in B.A (Fine Arts) from UMK and currently, I’m pursuing my final year M.Ed (Visual Arts Education) from UM. Teaching art is an art in itself and I have been doing this great job for the past three and half years and I’m still learning it.

Teaching ain’t easy. As an art teacher, I embrace the challenge and pour myself into it to give the gift of creative expression to a generation of students and to change people’s lives. Art is an essential part of children’s experience. Children feel good while they create.

On the personal side, I am the second child in a family of four children. We were raised by a strong mom, she is my role model and always will be. My siblings are also successful and talented in their own fields.

Your sincerely,

Teacher Thilagah

I believe that one should equally balance sports and other commitments to ensure quality of life.

Hello! I am Zarith, an English and homeroom teacher at VIS’s, KL campus.

English literature has always been a passion of mine since high school and has been a mini escape from my previous day job demand. A dual master’s degree university rank holder MSc (Management) in Operation and Project Management and Graduate Diploma in International Marketing from the renowned Deakin University of Melbourne, Australia and Asia e University of Malaysia.

Working as a part-time lecturer in a higher institution, has been an eye opener for me to improve English proficiency among the youth. Since I began my journey in teaching and realising the essential need of the world’s first language command, I have discovered my ability and set of skills to contribute my knowledge in English to the future generation. I am known for my bubbly, vibrant and energetic character. Quoting William Arthur Ward, “A warm smile is the universal language of kindness”. If you see someone without a smile, give them yours. I bring positive vibes and diplomacy in the classroom, as well as to people around me. One of my aspirations is to expand the body of knowledge in hope to pursue a PhD in English Literature in the near future.

Love always,

Zarith Safiah

Hi,

I am Wong Swee Moy, the Science and Mandarin teacher of VIS , KL.

Teaching has always been my passion since young. Being able to create curiosity and the urge to learn further in an inquisitive way motivate not only the students but also myself to go on and on amidst various challenges. I guess this is the basics in learning, whether in Science or languages.

Having a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, I am gratified the school has given me a chance to teach Mandarin besides Science. I enjoy teaching Mandarin as a foreign language as I take it as a cultural exchange with our students because we believe in interactive learning.

Sincerely,

SM
